Vicki Tomlinson Rountree – Publisher

Vicki Tomlinson Rountree was born and raised in Hahira, Georgia, where she lives with her husband, Stacy Rountree.  

While attending Lowndes High School, she worked at Fiveash’s Food Store in downtown Hahira. She later graduated from Valdosta Technical College before beginning a career in sales and marketing.

Vicki spent nearly 18 years as a Pharmaceutical Representative.  She retired in 2014 to open her own business, Monkey Britches Boutique. It is a children’s boutique, offering clothing, shoes, and accessories in the heart of Downtown Hahira.  

Vicki sits on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Sherriff’s Youth Home, and the Valdosta Chapter of the Salvation Army.  She is also the current chairman of the Greater Lowndes Planning Commission, and a director with the Hahira Downtown Development Authority.

Lynn Loftus – Sales Manager

Originally from Coconut Creek, Florida, Lynn majored as a Certified Travel Counselor with the Institute of Certified Travel Agents in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

Lynn worked as a retail Travel Counselor for thirteen years specializing in cruises, land and rail tours and international travel. Lynn later specialized in Scuba Diving Adventures and Eco Tours with an emphasis on Central America, The Caribbean and The Bahamas. Lynn arranged dive, adventure and archaeology-niched vacations throughout the Caribbean Central and South America. She would also travel around the United States and attend dive travel trade shows to promote different resorts, tours and destinations.

After 9/11 Lynn moved to Valdosta for a career in advertising sales. She worked with newspaper magazine, radio and now digital advertising. In Lynn’s spare time she enjoys spending it with family and friends. She also enjoys weekend getaways and visits from friends and family in from out of town!

Robert Spearman – Publisher

Robert Spearman photoRobert Spearman was born in Hahira, Georgia. He grew up working in his parent’s stores–Spearman’s Grocery and Hahira Hardware Company. He attended Lowndes High School in Valdosta and graduated from Georgia Christian School in Dasher.

For the past thirteen years, Spearman has lived in China where he graduated from Beijing Normal University with a degree in International Trade.

He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and owns a trading and consulting company in Zhuhai, China. He sits on the board of two Chinese manufacturing companies as a foreign advisor. In late 2016 Spearman opened a publishing company, Rice Paper Press, located in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China.

In addition to his export and publishing businesses, he is the author of two novels, Carnies and Wildcats: Ulciscor, and Obadiah: A Ghost’s Story.

Connie Owens – Editor

Writer, Poet, and Photographer who craves words, and people who love words, Constance Camille hangs her hat somewhere in Florida with her three Volpino Italiani doggies where she writes fiction, creative nonfiction, and a good poem when she’s in the mood.

Her idea of heaven is a picnic and a good book. A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in English-Creative Writing, she recently completed her poetry chapbook “Other Shiny Things” and her story “The Forger” recently appeared in “The Write Stuff Anthology.” She also serves as a submissions reader for the Florida based literary journal “Longleaf Review.”

Wendy Melton – Staff Writer

Wendy Melton is a freelance writer/photographer/illustrator who enjoys living life through a viewfinder and bringing people’s stories to life. Originally from Indiana, she moved to Georgia in 2016. She loves to travel, spend time outdoors and loves to meet new people.
