Dr. Craig Bishop is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician. He is originally from West Virginia, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, from Shepherd University. Dr. Bishop earned his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Magnum Cum Ladue. He completed his residency at Northside Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Bishop joined Valdosta Family Medicine in 1998. He is an Assistant Medical Professor at the Georgia campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Bishop is a member of the Georgia Osteopathic Medical Association and the Academy of Family Physicians. His interest in medicine includes plant based nutrition, emotional well-being, adolescent medicine and preventative medicine. Dr. Bishop is married to Jennifer and they have one daughter, Karly, who followed her father’s footsteps in successfully pursuing a Family Medicine Osteopathic physician degree. He and Jennifer enjoy spending time together, learning how to use nutrition as medicine, exercising, traveling and attending music festivals and concerts.
