Turner center for the arts


Artists of all levels are welcome to participate in the annual Spring Into Art Exhibition. The exhibition is open to all artists, 18 years of age or older, who work in almost any medium. Awards will be selected from a dual-judge review, which will be conducted without knowledge of artists’ identity, title or price of work. The judges are chosen based on their knowledge and ability to judge a piece of art on merit alone.

Participating artists are free of charge and permitted one guest with a $60 entry fee. Tickets to the Gala are $45 each. 

Important Dates:– Entry Deadline – Completed entry form and entry fee should be received or postmarked by Thursday, March 14.

March 15 – Mail forms to Turner Center, 527 N. Patterson Street, Valdosta, GA 31601- Art Delivery Dates – Labeled works should be delivered to the Turner Center for the Arts at 527 N. Patterson St. in Valdosta, Georgia on March 28, 29, and 30.

Art Delivery hours: Thursday, March 28, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.o Friday & Saturday, March 29 & 30, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Gala – The opening reception Gala will be from 6 – 9 p.m. on April 8. Artists will gain entry to the Gala by checking in at the artists’ table. The exhibit will open to free public viewing starting April 9.

Art Exhibition Ends– The exhibit will remain on display until 6pm on June 5.

June 6 & 7 – Art Pickup dates

Spring into art

All works must be picked up from the Turner Center on June 6, between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Friday, between 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Works selected for the Colson Calendar will be ready for pickup at a later date, and artists will be notified.

Hannah Colligan
Hannah Colligan, is a Senior English-Journalism major at Valdosta State University who was raised in Eastern Montana. She is an Air Force veteran and currently a cadet of Detachment 172. When she’s not chasing around her 3-year-old, Jonah, Hannah enjoys traveling, working out, and cooking. Upon graduation, Hannah will commission and begin her career as a Public Affairs Officer in the United States Air Force.
