Experimac is a company devoted solely to the sale and repair of pre-owned Apple products. They offer competitive prices on laptops, desktops, mobile devices, accessories and wearables. Students who are looking to find an affordable MacBook or iPad for school can choose from a wide selection of products in the store. Financing with a “90 days same as cash option” is available for those who qualify.
Every piece of equipment sold through the store is backed by what is referred to as the “Experisure Warranty”. If it is sold by Experimac, it has been tested and certified for resale in compliance with Apple standards which are some of the highest in the industry. The company prides itself on offering its customers the best that Apple has to offer in terms of pre-owned devices.
What started as a small business that operated out of family garage in Florida, has now grown into an ever-growing franchise with stores in three different countries. Experimac has over 100 stores with new franchises becoming available. The company offers those interested in opening a franchise an opportunity to learn about the process, take whatever training is needed and guidance along the way.
The company has several stores located throughout the southeastern United States. According to Jack Hartley, “There are a lot of other computer stores around but none that specialize strictly in Apple products.” Other stores are located in Atlanta, Georgia and Orlando, Florida. The only other Experimac store close to Valdosta is in Jacksonville, Florida, over two and a half hours away.
Greg Moore and Jack Hartley, co-owners of the Valdosta store were introduced through a fraternity brother in 2010. Greg says, “We went to the University of Georgia and were Ag majors, just at different times.” When the two were finally brought together Greg was looking into franchise options and the Experimac franchise got his attention. They had been already been working together on other business ventures so it was natural for him to offer the opportunity to Jack.
Another reason for choosing the Experimac franchise had to do with availability. In the Valdosta area, there were few places an Apple user could go to get their devices repaired. Opening the store here was a no-brainer. Moore and Hartley knew they would be able to fill a need that wasn’t being sufficiently addressed by any other computer store in the area. When the Ashley location became available, both men instinctively new it was a good fit and chose it as their store’s new home. The Five Points area is an ideal location with plenty of parking and close proximity to other shopping locations.
In addition to working with individuals, Moore and Hartley also work with local businesses providing a variety of services that allow them to keep their devices in top working order. The duo would also like to offer classes in the future that will help provide new Apple users with a better understanding of how their devices work and what they are capable of.
If you have an Apple product that needs repaired or replaced, visit the Experimac store at 3009 N Ashley Street in Valdosta. You can also call 229-474-3299 and talk to Greg, Jack or one of their friendly staff. They are open from 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday. No appointments are necessary and many minor repairs can be made the same day. If parts need to be ordered, the repairs may take a little longer. Both men work extremely hard to make sure the wait time is minimal and that every customer walks away with exactly what they need every time they enter the store.
