VALDOSTA – Some people never seem to have a hair out of place. Leslie Wardwell, owner of City Cuts, understands the customer’s struggle of living in South Georgia with the constant humidity and the battle to keep perfect hair during the summer months.

Frizzy hair occurs when the cuticle layer is raised, allowing moisture to pass through and swell the strands. As a result, hair may appear dry and frizzy instead of smooth and defined. Hair that is frizzed tends to stem from genetics, humidity, or a result of hair damage over time.

However, for people who have genetically frizzy hair or even damaged hair, there is a way to tame it.

Leslie offers a few tips to combat frizzy hair. She suggests rinsing hair with cold water to seal in conditioner. For hair that is damaged and frizzy, try using it’s A 10 hair product. She also recommends Kenra Platinum spray to seal hair away from the heat.

City Cuts is a full salon that offers $10 haircuts from 9:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. The shop is located at 1733 Gornto Road, Unit H, Valdosta, Georgia, next to the Publix shopping center by the mall. “We offer Kenra blow dry and volume spray, then we have a finishing serum that goes on your hair when completely styled,” said Leslie. Using Kenra blow dry will eliminate dry and frizzy hair and allow hair to lay perfect and protect it from the South Georgia heat.
